Phlebotomists duties and responsibilities include obtaining and proper handling of human blood. As a Phlebotomy Technician, you may be required to perform the following tasks:

  • Draw blood from patients
  • Draw blood from blood donors
  • Assess client's ability to withstand procedure
  • Explain blood-drawing procedure to patients and answer questions
  • Perform test for blood glucose readings
  • Prepare blood, urine and other specimens for testing
  • Verify patient/donor identity
  • Maintain medical equipment such as needles, test tubes and blood vials

Tuition and Fees: $2200

Day class runs for 9 weeks, and Evening Class runs for 14 weeks
6p-10p, Monday through Thursday

9am-530pm Saturday course
class runs for 6 1/2 months
