Ms. M K Chambers
Ms. Chambers started her nursing career (after leaving the Army with eight years of service) as a nurse aide working at Fredericksburg Nursing Home what is now called Golden Living and Carriage Hill nursing home. She then continued her education to become a Licensed Practical Nurse while working a Carriage Hill. She continued her nursing education at Germanna Community College and graduated with a degree in nursing and science. She worked at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, the Veterans Hospital in Washington DC, and Coffeewood Correctional Center in Mitchels, Virginia. Ms. Chambers returned to complete her Bachelor's degree in nursing and Master's degree in nursing specialization in health care education at University of Phoenix where she continues to attend the Doctoral Program. Ms. Chambers began teaching nursing students in 2006, and started teaching nurse aides in 2007 until 2012. In those five years her theory pass rate was 99.9%. Only one student in five years did not pass the written portion of the Nurse Aide Certification test. Ms. Chambers believes in empowering the student to go the extra mile.
